Clutch Steel Plate

Our clutch plate is a thin, steel, disc. Its center is connected to the transmission input shaft by a grooved piece of metal, or hub. The disc is then covered with material that is similar to the break linings. This material allows the clutch to slip smoothly and quietly. The clutch connects the two shafts so that they can either be locked together and spin at the same speed, or be decoupled and spin at different speeds, thus providing a smoother friction to the automobile.
